About Me

I have spent much of my life moving between disparate worlds.

I am a Detroit native, Army veteran, serial entrepreneur, and former advertising account-management executive. My career has crossed Intelligence, business development, entrepreneurship, and major advertising agencies including J. Walter Thompson, Cobalt Interactive Advertising Group, and A. Eicoff & Company, an Ogilvy & Mather company. I have managed premier client relationships, launched businesses, experienced successes and failures, and worked where strategy meets execution.

The industries have changed. The underlying principles have not:

How do people, organizations, and systems make decisions—and what happens when those decisions are tested in the field?

My particular strength is pattern recognition and synthesis: absorbing information across domains, noticing overlooked signals, connecting what initially appears unrelated, and identifying the underlying pattern.

Seeing what others don't see—and understanding why it matters.

My approach is deliberately Socratic. Start with curious questions. Follow the answers with better questions. Challenge assumptions. Separate symptoms from causes. Consider competing explanations. Keep questioning until the root cause reveals itself.

The objective isn't to prove a predetermined conclusion. It is to understand what is actually happening—and why.

That approach informs my examination of technology, organizational behavior, business, public policy, privacy, trust, contract compliance and, when necessary, the legal and regulatory frameworks surrounding them.

I am particularly interested in the distance between design and reality—what should happen versus what actually happens when decisions encounter human judgment in the field.

But rigorous analysis must remain grounded in human consequences.

I believe people want to be seen, heard, understood, and loved—in that order.

I believe in a growth mindset and embrace Kaizen—continuous improvement, one percent at a time. Never quit learning.

Reason first. Excellence always. Grace whenever possible.

Judge ideas on their merit, not on the tribe that presents them.
